It went really well. It was fun to serve, to be a part of building something for God and for other people. There was an awesome time of worship, the band we had put together was great. I ended up performing an acoustic solo, a song I wrote that was inspired by the events of my brother becoming deathly ill for a weekend. (He is recovering btw) Boy was I nervous though, didn't think I would be but as soon as I was walking up there I got really nervous...forgot some lyrics but played it out pretty well. It's been like 3 years since I sang and played in front of people. Anyways...I'll keep some updated info about the upcoming Encounter service that will be held on July 1st.
Me, Shane and Jeremy are heading up this service at Summit Foursquare Church in Longmont Colorado. Here is our promotional poster for the first of June. This particular message has to do with "A Backwards kingdom." Hitting on things such as young adult christian culture and the relationship of that to secular culture.
Poster was done in photoshop with four different photos. The street, the guy, the one way sign, then the space scene. A little blend here, a little blend there.
I'm an artist that loves to create in many different forms. From graphic design to photography to music. I believe that communicating through the arts can be successful, meaningful, and emotional.
Life is full of emotion and meaning. Sometimes you need to dig for it. Sometimes it surprises you when you're not looking. Either way, it needs to be acknowledged, embraced and never drowned out by fear or shear busyness.
The Creator fills His creation with a spirit of freedom and creativity so that in what is then created exemplifies the Spirit and Character of Himself.
